EVENTS >>> MOFFOM - Music on Film/Film on Music Minifest & Market organized by Just Temptation. The MOFFOM Minifest took place at Central Kino from September 16th to 18th, 2009 where 6 films with a strong musical element were screened. The MOFFOM Market took place at the Berlin HomeBase Lounge on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 and included a co-production market for music-oriented film and documentary projects in the financing stage. Production companies from various European countries presented a music-oriented film or documentary project to  co-production partners from Germany. Music producers and TV buyers were also present.

EUROPE >>> peacefulfish has been selected by the European Commission to conduct a study on the current and future involvement of financial players in Europe in regard to film and content production. The accompanying event, the European Film Banking Roundtable, took place on the 21st April 2009 in London, UK (Click here for further information).

 

EUROPE >>> The final report of a study entitled "Study on the role of SMEs and European audiovisual works in the context of the fast changing and converging home entertainment sector" is available on the MEDIA Programme’s web page. This study was undertaken by peacefulfish and Media Consulting Group (www.mediacg.tv) for the MEDIA Programme of the European Commission.

EUROPE >>> Two new surveys are currently undertaken by peacefulfish, one in cooperation with Cineuropa.org.

Survey 1 “European Attractiveness Barometer for film production – the Best Regions in Europe


The main objective of this study is to evaluate the criteria for producing content in Europe and to analyze the gap between the perceived and real attractiveness of a region. The first edition will be presented during the Berlin International Film Festival, in February 2009.

Survey 2 "Survey on the current situation in selected European countries regarding the digital conversion of cinemas"


This survey aims at giving an overview of stakeholders’ perspectives on the current situation in their respective countries. Stakeholders are national public film agencies, exhibitors’ associations, distributors’ associations and producers’ associations. The selected countries are Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland. In partnership with Cineuropa.org.
